Stacia Woodlan 

 Owner of Stacia's School of Dance since 1987 


Stacia Woodlan, owner of Stacia's School of Dance has an extensive background of dance training, teaching, and choreographing dating back to age 6. Stacia began her training under the instruction of Jill Rauscher in Houston, Texas where she studied ballet, tap and jazz. She also took classes with Patsy Swayze, mother of Patrick Swayze, during her teenage years. Stacia was an officer on her high school drill team and participated in and choreographed her own high school musical, "Guys and Dolls."

Stacia then went on to Southern Methodist University where she was captain of the Pom Pon Squad and led them on an international performing tour to Tokyo, Japan. She graduated from SMU in 1984 with a BFA degree in Dance performance and Dance education. Stacia spent her summers during college performing in various shows at the outdoor theatre in Galveston.

After graduating from SMU, Stacia began teaching classes for Texie Waterman (founder of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders) and took the drill team director position at DeSoto High School. Stacia implemented the dance program at DeSoto high school which is still in use today. 

In 1987, Stacia opened Stacia's School of Dance where she currently teaches 25 classes a week. She also choreographs and instructs 3 levels of competitive dancers who compete in various competitions around the state.
